Thanks again for the enquiry. Sorry about the text message overload, I was trying to cut and paste whilst waiting for coffee (clearly that didn’t work so well!).
At this stage we have one cart still available for the afternoon of 19.3.16
The Short Batch Ice Cream carts have been delivering smiles and happiness at 230+ soirées, weddings & parties all across greater Melbourne since 2013.
Started by a life long ice cream lover who en-route to Gelato School in Bologna, Italy visited 172 ice cream shops & gelaterias in 11 countries and 3 continents.
Why have an ice cream cart at your wedding?
It’s a nice surprise for your guests! And…
Bribery: The lure of ice cream can be used to keep the little people quiet during the ceremony!
Prop: Brides hold court on our carts and wedding photographers love shooting with the cart as a backdrop.
Entertainment: If you have the cart between the nuptials and the reception it fills in the gap for your guests, whilst you skulk off for photos.
White shirt, black pants, skirt or shorts and a little pork pie hat
Choose from any 4 from the popular list flavours:
Rum ‘n Raisin
Full & exotic flavour list.
*** Choice of four flavours need to be submitted via email 4 working days prior to event.
We require only 25 mins to set up ready to serve. We put the roof on the cart outside the venue and wheel it in and dress the site table with cups, cones, napkins and scoops.
Power: access to a standard 240v power supply (i.e. a standard household powerpoint) we always come armed with extension cords.
For night / indoor events the cart has a light under the canopy that illuminates the inside of the cart.
Parisian accordion sounds … if you’d like. Optional.
Additional service time: charged per half hour ($100 per 30min)
%50 deposit to confirm booking.
%50 week prior to event.
Deposits are not refundable.
Variations: in guest numbers may affect pricing.
This quote is for guest numbers: – up to 250.

Cart Dimensions & Access
Length: 1.86m Height with canopy: 1.80m (about 6ft) Width: 0.88m <– will it fit through the doors and around the corners of your venue?
The canopy is removable (so are the upright struts), so height won’t be an issue.
**The bicycle and freezer are one and CAN NOT be taken apart to fit into small lifts or spaces.
Weighs 88kg empty. 101kgs loaded with gelato. – It won’t damage manicured grass lawns.
If you are unsure about cart access (i.e. there are 3 stairs that need to be navigated up) have someone at the venue shoot 2-4 images from various angles of the access point and email them through to [email protected]
The width / length of the cart cart will NOT fit in many standard elevators (it requires an oversized elevator or goods lift)
The cart functions as a rideable bike (although we don’t suggest embarking on Tour De Dancefloor post Champagne) and can be moved easily to position in a venue.
– The venue (does it have flights of stairs and no lift?), is there a small doorway the cart has to fit through etc?
– Are there security gates that only open a certain time?
– Is there a hard bump in / out time window?
– ramps in the venue?
– Will the cart need to be parked on a steep incline etc.
Please send a link or images of the proposed location / room in the venue.
Can I hire the cart unmanned?
No. Unmanned carts, much like unmanned space craft tend to end in a fiery death.
Insurance: We’ve got public liability insurance for $15 mil just in case this happens.
